Gotta love a good sale. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is THE epic sale of the year. I usually pick up quite a few Christmas gifts during this time, but of course, a few goodies for myself. [I’m going to keep those gifts a secret though – Santa’s got rules.] Here are the fave finds I’ve gotten this year:
These high waisted Zella leggings are on constant repeat. It’s my daily #MomCostume. They tuck in what needs tuckin’ and still feel super comfy for days of chasin’ little man. I ordered two different colors this year, but it looks like the black is the only one in stock at the moment. I’m sure they’ll restock soon.
To go with my super comfy leggings, I LOVE this tee! It’s long enough to leave untucked, but looks cute tucked in as well. And, apparently the front tuck is back in (thank you, 90’s). This is a great tee for every day wear. Dress it up or down with accessories, too.
I love a good lounge pant (you see the theme I’ve got going here). These are super cute because of the jogger pant style, but still comfy and roomy enough for all that loungin’ you’ve got to do.
I did find quite a few other great pieces that don’t have “mom life” written all over them. This dress is sold out right now, but I’m soooo hoping it comes back in stock for y’all. I LOVE the way it sits on my shoulders and also ties at the waist. It’s very flattering, but not too tight and constricting.
These jeans are everything. I mean every. freaking. thing. They have a thick band so all your little belly-ness gets tucked in and smooth. It’s like Spanxx in jeans form – except comfortable. I can’t wait to live in these this fall! If you only order one thing from the Nord sale, this is it.
Another great “jean” find were these lovelies. You can’t go wrong with the olive-colored skinnies. They look great with almost any top, especially in late summer + fall + winter. These are high waisted as well, and very forgiving. I’m going to wear mine with some slouchy tees and these shoes you’ll see below.
Eileen Fisher is probably my favorite brand at Nordstrom. Her dresses are always a great quality, fit like a glove, and will last you a lifetime. I always feel comfortable and chic when I wear her stuff. Her dresses do run large, so always order a size down. I ordered the small, and it’s still a little big on me [but a little extra room never hurt anyone, ‘m I right?] This dress also comes in 4 colors. I went maroon because… Gig ‘Em Aggies!
And helloooooo date night! This top will be perfect with some white skinnies in a couple of weeks (or whenever we sneak away for a date night). I can’t wait to wear it! It fits perfectly in the chest area to highlight the ladies, and still comes in so it doesn’t wear like a mumu. The pattern is beautiful, too. It would work well into the fall as a cute top to wear out and about as well.
I love me some pineapples, y’all. Especially after our recent trip to Charleston (click here for some more on that vacay). The price was very reasonable ($35), and I love this sweet little case for summer. I mean, this is what I wear more than anything else in my closet, so it needs to be cute, too. Right?
I actually DID find two pairs of shoes that I’m excited to wear this fall and winter. It’s a rare thing for me to find shoes that are comfy + cute + don’t make my feet look like boats (I’m a size 8 on a 5′ 3″ frame).
These bad boys are (like the name says) waterproof! I love the snug fit they have and the chunky sole. They’re comfortable, not too heavy, and they are perfect with skinny jeans or shorts. These come in four colors, too. I’d also recommend ordering a half size up.
UGGs are never a bad idea. These breathable slip-ons are perfect for skinnies and shorts as well. They’re also lightweight and come in 4 colors. I loved this paprika suede color because I like a little pop of pizzazz on my feet. I actually think it will go well with many of the simple tees I like to wear during the week.
